International actor seeks to work with filmmakers worldwide

As an international actor I believe that one of the many truly important and necessary avenues for disseminating all manner of artistic works is a film festival. There are numerous festivals around the world, some more well-known than others, but all are equally important to local communities, artists in all fields, as well as societies and peoples worldwide.

Film festivals like the G.I. Film Festival (https://gifilmfestival.com/) and the Asian World Film Festival ( http://www.asianworldfilmfest.org/ ) are just two of the myriad of arenas that showcase the work of every speciality field in the industry - from filmmakers, actors, and stunt people to special effects, voiceover, foley artists and so many others.

Art truly does imitate life and the artistic works that film festivals showcase can become not only individual expressions but also powerful tools in bringing people together and focusing on the essential concerns that we all share rather than dividing us.

I want nothing more as an actor than to be a collaborative part of real, thought-provoking film and television works as well as intelligent and conscientious photographic works. Film festivals and their inherent production afford an actor such as myself
the chance to fulfill those dreams by allowing me to network with people in several areas of the industry. Whether I am in a particular film or part of a specific photographic campaign promoting said film festival, I am very happy to be a part of something that can potentially make the world a better place in the long run.

There is no better time than today to become involved in something so worthwhile and necessary!! Whether simply a local production or one with a long standing reputation and a wider scope, getting and being involved in festivals like the G.I. Film Festival and the Asian World Film festival is a wonderful way to contribute to positivity and positive change on a large, even international, scale.

I have worked both in the u.S. and here in Brazil and I hope to continue to do so while growing, reaching new heights and conquering different and/or more difficult challenges that allow me to become the best version of myself along the way!!

If there are any filmmakers reading this who believe I might be of use to them and their project, I would love to hear from them!!

Sincerely and respectfully,

How to start a simple blog for writers

If you’re a writer and you’d like to start posting your content online for the world to read, it is a good idea to start a simple blog and learn as you go.

I’ll keep this short and sweet because I know you creative types hate research and want to get back to creating.  I get it.

Set up Gmail account
Set up BLOGGER a.k.a. (YourName/blogspot.com)
Click “New Blog” in the top left corner
Name your Blog -  sample - “Thoughts of an indie creative”
Watch some YouTube videos about how to configure your Blog
Click "New Post" in the top left corner
Write something short, sweet, and awesome! (Tag me, I want to read it!)
Always add proper labels (a.k.a. Tags) on your post
Share it on Google+

It’s not perfect, but you can start sharing your stories with the world and see who likes it.

There are many different blogs, but I like Blogger because Google owns it and it helps with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) when people search for your content.

Thank you for taking a read!

Very Respectfully,

How to make progress in your professional life... Leadership & Success rules.

This is a simple list of things that I know can make your professional life move forward in a positive manner… from experience:

1.       Be on time.  15-20 minutes early is the standard.  Always plan ahead for traffic and travel.

2.       Never “No-show” an appointment.  If you MUST no-show, then call ASAP to reschedule.

3.       When someone gives you a business card, you have 72 hours to follow-up.  Send them a simple email with your information and how you intend to grow that relationship.

4.        Maintain a pleasing personality.  People do not want to work with negative people.

5.       Have a value proposition.  What is the reason someone should hire “YOU?”

6.       Dress neat and be neatly groomed.  Clients want to see professionalism.

7.       Have a PLAN.  Actually write out a plan of what you would like to accomplish, discuss, or research.  You MUST write it out (or type it) for it to be real.

8.       Have a continuous “to-do” list in front of you.  If a particular task does not get accomplished today, then move it to the next day.

9.       Must maintain LASER, INTENSE, FOCUS.  No matter what you do…. LASER, INTENSE, FOCUS.

10.   If you notice that you talk about doing more things than actually doing those things…. STOP IT!  You’re not fooling anyone except yourself.  Get to work!

11.   Be concerned with helping people with their situation before being concerned with why nobody ever wants to help you.  What have you done for someone lately?

12.   Be aware of your physical activity.  Exercise relives a lot of stress and helps you think more clearly.

I hope this helps!

Very Respectfully,
